My name is Nicki and I am an Australian/British citizen that has been living here in Italy for over 10 years.
For the past 25 years I have been studying and working in Australia, London, and Italy. My main fields of study include both English literature and accountancy and I am currently completing the internationally recognized TESOL certificate.
I worked for many years in the financial arena for both small and major international companies including the Financial Times, Rohm and Haas, Maxim Integrated Products, and Pitney Bowes Finance to name but a few.
However, for the last 10 years my main focus has been on teaching English at a small but very successful language school in Milan as well as being an in-house translator for a Milanese computer software house.
But the time has come to navigate Italian red tape, get a partita IVA, and to branch out on my own. And so I have created “English Beat”, a small business that offers clients in Saronno and surrounding areas (as well as central Milan), courses in English that are suited to individual needs without having to break the bank!
My courses are available to both business clients who may require more focused lessons as well private individuals who merely wish to improve their conversational skills.
In particular, I think I can really relate to those who are struggling with a language that is foreign to them.
My first attempts at Italian were somewhat comical, so I know the real anxiety people feel when trying to communicate in another language.
In addition, I also offer a simple translation service for those customers that wish to create or “tidy up” their English version websites or produce documents for overseas clients that are written in professional English.
Please take a moment to review the courses on offer and the prices.
I have tried to keep things as simple as possible however if you require further information, or you wish to design a personalized course, please do not hesitate to contact me.
